About Prof. Dr. Zakir Hossain

Prof. Dr. Md. Zakir Hossain has been trained from the department of Orthodontics Kyushu University & Hiroshima University, Japan. He has been awarded Ph.D in the field of Orthodontics from the  Hiroshima University, Japan. He has been also awarded FCPS in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics from Bangladersh College of Physicians (BCPS)

He is a member of The New York Academy of Science (1995) & Fellow of World Federation of Orthodontists (FWFO). He is also the President of Bangladesh Orthodontic Society. He was also the Secretary General of Bangladesh Dental Society & Dhaka Dental College Teachers' Association. He was the founder Editor in chief of “Journal of Oral Health “  only official publication of Dhaka Dental College.

Presently working as Principal,Professor & Head of the department of Orthodontics, University Dental College & Hospital. Formerly Principal &Head of the department of Orthodontics,DhakaDental College & Hospital, Mirpur-14, Dhaka. He was the founder supervisor of the PG trainee Doctors for fellowship in Orthodontics &DentofacialOrthopaedics at the Department of Orthodontics, Dhaka Dental College & Hospital since 2000 under Bangladesh College of Physicians (BCPS). Till now, about 100 Fellows have been trained under him awarded FCPS under BCPS. They are now running the Govt.& Private Dental College of the country.
